Grenada offers citizenship through a contribution to its National Transformation Fund.
The fund supports national development projects, including initiatives in tourism, agriculture, infrastructure and alternative energy.
Minimum contribution
- USD 235,000 for a principal applicant
- The same minimum may cover a family of up to four, subject to the current programme rules.
- Additional contributions apply for larger families and certain categories of dependants.
Government processing, due-diligence, interview, passport and professional fees are charged separately.
Eligible family members
Grenada’s programme may permit the inclusion of:
- Spouse
- Dependent children
- Dependent parents or grandparents
- Certain unmarried siblings, subject to current conditions
Additional contribution amounts can depend on the dependant’s age and relationship to the principal applicant.
Main requirements
The principal applicant must generally:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Make the qualifying contribution
- Demonstrate the lawful source of funds
- Pass government and third-party due diligence
- Complete the prescribed interview
- Provide personal, civil, employment and financial records
- Have no disqualifying criminal or security concerns
Residence requirement
Grenada does not generally require applicants to live in the country before or after citizenship is granted under the programme.
United States E-2 consideration
Grenada has an E-2 treaty relationship with the United States. Grenadian citizenship may therefore allow an eligible citizen to submit a separate US E-2 Treaty Investor Visa application.
Grenadian citizenship does not automatically grant a US visa. The applicant must make a separate qualifying US business investment and meet all E-2 requirements.
